Don’t Be a Victim

Don’t Be a Victim

Don’t Be A Victim!

How does Satan manipulate you through guilt and shame?

Colossians 1:13-14

For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Satan decreases the effect of our sin before we give into it and exploits it afterwards. The Enemy will try and own us, our thoughts and actions through temptation and shame. He’s a master manipulator. He whispers lies, “Don’t worry, it’s just part of life for everyone,” and then attacks your faith and pours on the guilt and shame.

Romans 8:1

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,

You don’t have to be another one of his victims, used and discarded into a heap of broken lives and shattered goals. In Christ Jesus, we are forgiven. “It is finished,” means just that. Jesus shut down Satan’s ability to control you, if you are a believer.  You don’t need to give in to anxiety and fear. You don’t have to be anxious and powerless anymore. The only way Satan can have any power in your life, is if you choose to believe and act as if his lies are true.

      John 8:32

Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

You can be free in Christ. If you don’t want to be a victim, then choose to live in God’s truth and you will replace emotional bondage with freedom.

If the enemy no longer has the authority to control us, why would you choose to give him that power and authority back? Don’t be a victim. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any areas of your life that you are living in known or unknown bondage and wait until your soul is prompted with His truth and write down what you hear.
