Who Will You Trust Most Today?
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. 6 Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
Who do you trust? The answer to this question can bring heartache or peace of mind. Whether your life has purpose or you whether you’re just spinning your wheels.
One of the biggest mistakes we make is trusting ourselves. The problem with this line of thinking is it’s founded on our emotions and feelings. Our feelings are real, but they are often wrong and biased from our wounds. When we allow our emotions to guide us, we are easily manipulated by those around us with an agenda. It only makes sense to trust the big things in our lives to someone who is all knowing and all powerful. Someone who wants what’s best for us and has already sacrificed greatly for our blessing.
Who has had your back, and takes pleasure in your successes? Who has loved you unconditionally and sacrificially? This is who you should trust.
There are all kinds of cultural truths that are constantly changing that are being spouted by the media and celebrities. When making foundational choices, don’t turn to the ever-changing social media. Instead stand firm on the foundation of God’s word.
Psalm 33:4 For the word of the LORD holds true, and we can trust everything he does.
Only God’s word will speak the truth every time. If we seek life’s answers from the Almighty, we will be set free from the lies of this world and shown the path that leads to eternal blessings and purpose.
Our setbacks in life are usually caused by our pride, stubbornness, and insecurities. We don’t always see things go our way at first when we choose God’s truth, but God sees the whole path before us and the paths of the people around us. We can trust Him.
