Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
God’s word is the most powerful weapon of all, at any time in history.
God’s word is effective, cutting through all lies while bringing joy and peace through eternal truth.
Ephesians 6:12
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Because of our faith in Jesus, we will face opposition. It’s important to understand that the source of this opposition isn’t a coworker, a competitor, a political party, or another religion. The real source of the opposition we face is Satan and the demonic forces.
2 Corinthian 10:3-5
3 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
Our weapons are much more effective than our enemies’ weapons and we don’t just use them defensively. Our weapons don’t just give us an edge, they demolish strongholds and give peace of mind.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Our weapons equip us for every good work that we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to accomplish.
