The Blessings Of Obeying The Lord

The Blessings Of Obeying The Lord

The Blessings Of Obeying The Lord
Acts 10:43 All the prophets testify about Him, that through His name everyone who believes in Him [whoever trusts in and relies on Him, accepting Him as Savior and Messiah] receives forgiveness of sins.”

Even if you can fool everyone else, you can’t fool yourself for very long and you can never fool God. If you violate your own conscience, you’ll have to pay a serious price for that. But if you allow God’s truth to guide what path you take you can walk securely and be at peace. Do you think you can do something that goes directly against God’s word and not have consequences in your life? God knows there are consequences to every bad decision that causes spiritual wounds to fester and rot. It’s true you can be forgiven for your sin, but that doesn’t mean you won’t have to deal with the consequences of that sin and live with serious regrets. Instead, lets trust God’s word and watch how he guides our steps.

Proverbs 8-9 The wise in heart accept commands, but a chattering fool comes to ruin. 9 Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.

How’s your integrity affected when you know the right thing to do but you choose not to do it?

A wise person of integrity doesn’t need to chatter foolishly about themselves, instead they can humbly listen to wise counsel, so they keep in step with the Holy Spirit. But a fool does not quit babbling long enough to learn anything. Needless talking is often associated with foolishness, and such a person will live a spiritually defeated life. An honest person is secure in their walk, but a person whose paths are crooked and twisted, will eventually be discovered for what they truly are. A true test of our integrity is that our public and private life are the same. Would you want everyone to know about the decision you’re making? If not, then seek out the counsel of the Holy Spirit to guide the next few steps on your path.
