Isaiah 7:14

The Messiah: Prophecy Fulfilled (Series)

Pastor Matthew Shorack

It’s easy to miss the wonder of Jesus birth, because we live around 2000 years after the fulfillment of the O.T prophesies.

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Emmanuel. Isaiah prophesied the virgin birth more than 700 years before it happened. Micah 5:2 “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.”

At the same time, Micah predicted the King would be born in an unknown Judean town called Bethlehem Ephrathah.

Jeremiah 31:15 This is what the Lord says: “A voice is heard in Ramah, mourning and great weeping, Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because they are no more.”

Around 600 B.C. Jeremiah predicted Herod’s massacre of infants.
