Joy to the World
What fear has been the most damaging to your life? There are hundreds of different known fears that we can have. Fear takes away our joy and is something that all of us struggle with, but God’s word makes it clear that we don’t have to be afraid if we have God on your side!
Romans 8:31
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
Is your biggest fear failure, disappointing others, being rejected? Remember, we are all in a spiritual battle and Satan uses all of these fears to steal our joy. Doing what’s right will always bring us joy, so he put’s ideas in our heads that can cause us to worry more about pleasing the people around us than pleasing God. One of the greatest sources of joy in life is when we share the love of Christ with someone who doesn’t know Him, so he tries to make us afraid to tell others about Jesus’ love. This Christmas let’s be committed to sharing God’s love with others. Let’s not let fear rule our hearts, because perfect love conquers all fear. Max Lucado wrote, “we experience real joy, when we live for an audience of one.”
John 15:11
He said, “I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.
When we have Christ’s joy, we aren’t emotionally controlled by our situation. We can experience joy, not fear, knowing that God is on our side.
