God’s Path Brings Blessings

God’s Path Brings Blessings

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

To be on the right path, the straight path, means to be blessed. We will be on the right path that leads to God’s inheritance if we put our trust in God’s word, instead of putting our weight down on our own understanding. Trusting God leads to mental, social, and emotional health. Trusting God requires submitting to His truth, to get on the right path, that leads to mental health in broken world. We live in a world that denies God’s absolute truth, and then wonder why there is so much evil in the world. What would happen in our lives as believers if we would not only trust in the Lord, but trust in the Lord with all our hearts? So, how do we let go of our need to control our own lives? I think it starts with a humble heart that trusts God’s word more than our own understanding of the world around us. That will lead us to finding the right path for being emotionally, spiritually, and relationally whole no matter how bad our circumstances may be and feel.

Colossians 2:8-10
Watch out for people who try to impress you with big words and intellectual double-talk. They want to drag you off into endless arguments that never amount to anything. They spread their ideas through the empty traditions of human beings and the empty superstitions of spirit beings. But that’s not the way of Christ. Everything of God gets expressed in him, so you can see and hear him clearly. You don’t need a telescope, a microscope, or a horoscope to realize the fullness of Christ, and the emptiness of the universe without him. When you come to him, that fullness comes together for you, too. His power extends over everything.

Can trusting God resolve anger, bitterness, and depression? Is there anyway to deal with all our stress, anger, and frustrations? Are you searching for new paths that might lead to peace and purpose, but you’re unwilling to try a simple straight path that requires trusting a loving God for direction. It’s time to try something different, something new.
