God Uses All Situations To Bring Blessings

Our most powerful testimonies come from our times of struggles. Because God meets us in our brokenness and brings comfort and healing. The prosperity gospel churches try to show their spirituality by having lots of stuff and financial success. True spirituality produces people who are mentally, relationally, emotionally, and spiritually whole during times of adversity. That means our joy and peace doesn’t depend on our circumstances.

Philippians 1:12-14 Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel. 13 As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for Christ. 14 And because of my chains, most of the brothers and sisters have become confident in the Lord and dare all the more to proclaim the gospel without fear.

Paul didn’t allow his unlawful imprisonment to stop his testimony. Instead, he used that opportunity to share the gospel in his suffering. These people needed Jesus and now Paul was in a place to witness to them. How many people would have missed out on heaven had Paul taken the mindset of a victim and complained about his circumstances?

Look around at all the division and anger in our community. People are crying out for purpose and hope, looking anywhere and everywhere for something that is real and lasting. When we open our lives up to prayerfully connecting with people who don’t know Jesus yet, it provides an opportunity for our struggles and hardships to produce blessings.

Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.
