God Rules His Way!

How does God show you that He is directing your path                                    when you are walking through a difficult time in your life?

Isaiah 45:1-7                                                                                             This is what the Lord says to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I take hold of to subdue nations before him and to strip kings of their armor, to open doors before him so that gates will not be shut: 2 I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron. 3 I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name. 4 For the sake of Jacob my servant, of Israel my chosen, I summon you by name and bestow on you a title of honor, though you do not acknowledge me. 5 I am the Lord, and there is no other; apart from me there is no God. I will strengthen you, though you have not acknowledged me, 6 so that from the rising of the sun to the place of its setting people may know there is none besides me. I am the Lord, and there is no other. 7 I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the Lord, do all these things.

The Israelites were in bondage to Babylon and God promised deliverance through Cyrus the Persian king. God makes a few announcements to Cyrus about how He will use this Persian king to bless His chosen people.

God will defeat nations, open up and breakdown gates, level mountains, restore treasures hidden in secret places, all to bless His people and show them His love, power and authority. There’s nothing He can’t do.

No matter how dark our situation, God has the power to intercede, and bring us into the light of His presence and blessing. God is over time, matter and space as ruler and deliverer. He leads nations and individuals. He knows what’s best and His will cannot be defeated.

All believers have testimonies about how God has stepped into our lives and brought healing out of brokenness, provision out of need and blessing out of hardship. He is always intervening, just not always the way we think is best. Praise God, our will is not His will. He see’s the whole picture and is moving through good and bad leaders and situations to accomplish His will. Will you trust God more than your understanding of your situation?
