Do you need to make an important decision?

Do you need to make an important decision?

Do you need to make an important decision?

Sometimes fear can cause us to get a little stuck in life, unable to make decisions and weighted by stress, but the Lord can lead us into clarity of thought and moving forward on his right path.

Psalm 23:1-3

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
    he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
    for his name’s sake
.

Knowing God’s path is different then reading a fortune cookie or looking to the stars for answers. God has a specific plan for your life, and He has gifted you to accomplish what He’s prepared for you to do. If you’re focused on the wrong thing in the horizon, it’s easy to veer off course. The longer you sail in the wrong direction the harder it is to find your destination.

The enemy wants you stressed and confused about your direction in life so you will stop moving forward. So, the question is, how do you hear form the Lord and adjust your response to Him?

I think it’s hard to know where you’re going if you feel like you’re missing out on something important. In the first verse of Psalm 23, we see a good place to start when it comes to getting stuck in life. If God is your shepherd, you lack nothing. If you are a child of God, then you have what you need already. Quiet waters can be experienced even in life’s storms. A refreshed soul comes from being on His right path. We can’t know his path if we are turning to the things and people of this world, rather than His word. So often Christians are looking for God’s will for their lives instead of looking too God. When you focus on Him, things become incredibly clear and making decisions and moving forward come naturally through seeing what He is doing and joining Him in it.
