Matthew and Julie Shorack

Matthew and Julie have been married since 1992 and have been blessed with 4 children. They both made a decision to follow Jesus in High School and Matthew has been in Pastoral ministry for the last 20 years.

From 1992 – 1999 Matthew served as the Youth Pastor at Bethel Evangelical Free Church (BEFC), the Young Life Staff Leader and the Boys High School basketball coach on Vashon Island, WA. From 1996- 1999 he also served as the Associate Pastor at BEFC.

From 1999 to 2005 the Shoracks served as missionaries in Uganda where they adopted their three oldest children.  Matthew was a Pastor at the church in Uganda where he focused on counseling, community outreach and Pastoral training to pastors out in the bush of the Luwerro triangle.  Matthew and Julie also started a Babies home in Uganda that continues to care for high needs babies.  They returned to BEFC on Vashon where Matthew served as an Interim Pastor.  They then spent a year at Cascade Community Church in Monroe WA where Matthew was the Pastor of Outreach and Missions and where he trained in church planting.

Matthew has served as the Pastor at Community Bible Fellowship since 2009 where he and his wife Julie, and their children, Isaac, Thomas, Alexia and Tessa, have developed a deep love for the community and the CBF Church family.

 

Ron Goodman

Ron Goodman has been a member of Community Bible Fellowship from it’s beginning in 2000.  Ron attended Antioch Bible Church in Kirkland from 1990 to 1996, and is an original member of the daughter church, Antioch South King (ASK), which began in 1996 in the Skyway area.  Ron was ASK’s first president and elder board chairman, serving from 1996-2002.  As a member of ASK, Ron oversaw a number of ministries, including Ushers & Greeters and Youth Ministry which included “Cross Court” teen ministry on Friday nights.  Ron sang on a number of the worship teams as well.  He served as Director of the Youth Reach Out Center at the Union Gospel Mission for four years overseeing ministry programs that included over 200 children on a daily basis, and a staff of 26.  Ron served on the elder council when ASK and Calvary Evangelical Free church merged in 2000.

 

Ron has been on staff as Community Bible Fellowship’s Operations Director for over 14 years.  Ron oversees all administrative functions such as HR/Staff Coordinator, IT Coordinator, and Facilities/Maintenance/Security/Scheduling and as an Event/Service Coordinator; he is the liaison between the public, congregation and ministry leaders for all events held at CBF. Ron currently oversees the Food Service ministry,  Ron is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, and has two children, Milan 39, and Serin 37.
